Check out this clip from the feature length documentary I shot titled, “The Magic of Heineken.”  The film is an epic around the world “beer odyssey” spanning 13 countries and 6 continents.  This scene takes place in Heineken’s home land, The Netherlands, and shows the creation, washing, filling and packing of Heineken bottles, and the rejection of those not fit for the world.  Special high speed photography up to 2,000 frames per second was used to capture the fine details of the bottleing process.

I recently returned from Amsterdam where I attended the premiere of “The Magic of Heineken” a hour and a half film about the history of the company, its global outreach, and of course…BEER!  It is always difficult to rank your favorite jobs of all time because some of them are great life experiences, while others fulfill you creatively.  Occasionally a job does both and when that happens it is truly magical.  This project exceeded my expectations in every way.  I am really excited to share the details and post some footage, but for now check out the photos of the amazing party they threw at the historic “Pathé Tuschinski” theater in Amsterdam.  I am so grateful to have worked for such an amazing company.

Got up this morning with a long to do list because I wasn’t shooting.  I took a quick peek at my Instagram feed and saw that my buddy Pete McCoubrey posted a pic of a map that showed the space shuttle Enterprise’s flight path over NYC today.  I had no idea this was happening and saw on the map that it was going to do a u-turn over my town in 30 minutes!  I quickly fed my cats, grabbed my camera and went to the closest access point to the Hudson River from my house.  I got there just in time and so did the Amtrak train.  Woot! I love the space shuttle and one of the coolest things I have ever seen was a shuttle launch on my honeymoon.  It was quite an experience to see it fly over my town.  I am looking forward to visiting it at the Intrepid after it makes its way there.
