I am very lucky and thankful to have been selected to be one of the camera operators on the Hamilton film airing today on Disney+ It was a memorable experience with an incredible cast and crew. Declan Quinn, ASC was the DP and is someone I have looked up to and who has helped me a lot in my career. I still have my Leaving Las Vegas Laser Disc that I used to study non-stop in film school. Legends Chris Silano and Bobby Mancuso kept things razor sharp even when shooting at focal lengths in the 600-1000mm range without marks. It was remarkable to behold. I am in awe of their skill. All 3 of them are not just tops at their craft, but also great people. I hold them all as the gold standard of the type of person I strive to be. Chris even gave me a rad set of studded tires for my mountain bike after the shoot. Ride on Chris!
